Jessica´s latest album ”Just Do It, is recorded in the rock group Journey´s private studios, Addiction Studios in Berry Hill, Nashville TN.

The producer of the album is Scott Baggett.

The album has taken form over 2 years and the songs have been written together with hitmakers to artists like Celine Dion, Kenny Rogers, Bette Midler, Deep Purple and many others.

”The new rocky style feels really like it is really me and I hope the audience are going to like it too. I’m really longing to share everything with the audience” says Jessica.

The reason that Jessica started to travel to Nashville is that in 2010, she was asked by Country Music Hall of Fame´s chosen musician Charlie McCoy to come over to record some newly written songs. Charlie McCoy has participated in over 13 000 recorded albums with world artists like Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and many others. Charlie McCoy received two songs written by Jessica in his mailbox in the summer of 2010 and he duly invited her to Nashville to record them with some of music histories biggest legends.

With four songs in her back pocket, without a record company or management, she travelled to Nashville after having stood at a crossroad after several tragic incidents and chose to start living and performing full time. The musicians and Jessica hit it off and after the album was recorded in 2011, will several other musicians and songwriters also write music with her.

Since 2011 she has been invited to write music in Nashville by several songwriters like Bobby Wood, Dave Robbins, Charley Stefl, Scott Bagget, Tony Colton and many others. She is called the girl with the melodies in Nashville and has during her time there played together with many musicians and artists at different places in the music city. Jessica was even invited in 2014 to Garth Brooks studio on Music Row where he recorded his coming album. There has been a dozen or so trips for Jessica since 2010 and the musical journey just continues.

Jessica was born in Sundsvall. Even at an early age Jessica’s parents understood that she had a strong love for music and just before her seventh birthday, they bought her a piano. Since that day the keys have been red hot in the family home. By 9 Jessica had a decided and strong feeling that one day music would be her livelihood. It was mostly Jessica’s music teacher who inspired her with her joy to play. It was her that made Jessica also decide to really give music everything. Participating in children’s choirs and instrumental lessons in both cello, guitar, and piano at the music school was a huge joy while she was growing up. The music college in Harnösand were the years when Jessica found her passion for classical music and gave many concerts and accompanied instrumentalists.

The years after college, Jessica studied to be a music teacher. At the same time she worked as music therapist with rehabilitation of pain and newly injured patients. For a few years Jessica worked as a music teacher at middle school. Every year she wrote a new musical where all the 100 students took part in some way.

In 2002 Jessicas daughter was born. During her maternity leave she decided that she would give all she had to music. Jessica has had the privilege to perform at everything from champagne breakfasts, festivals and galas, to inaugurations and gourmet dinners during the years. Her assignment as piano entertainer between 2002 – 2011 stretched out through all of Sweden. Many music styles and a repertoire of about 600 songs and accompaniments of different artists, made Jessica want to continually develop as a live musician and as a singer

In 2004 Jessica´s mother Siv was killed in the Tsunami in the Indian Ocean and the musical energy came to a stop.

For the first time in her life she could not find a tone on the piano during a long period. Jessica thought a lot about how she would be able to return to spreading joy in the piano bars in the middle of all the sorrow. On the first occasion where she would play after the tragic news, she met Pigge Werkelin, who lost his two children and his wife in the flood catastrophe. Jessica and Pigge started to talk about what had happened, they comforted each other and Pigge said:

“You are strong Jessica. People are stronger than you can imagine. I really have experience about that. Go out now and give it your all!”

These words were the start to everything new and Jessica started to write music like she never had before.

It was also the start of a process that would take Jessica to where she is today.

For a few years now Jessica has performed her inspiration concert ”Songs About Life” throughout Sweden. It is about her life experiences and how she has taken herself over many hurdles with the help of music and by positive thinking. Jessica with her texts and music which have developed during years of fighting with death and difficult sickness would like to empower people to invest in what they believe in and take care of their lives in the present moment.

“If I can help one person every day to have the will to continue a little more, then it will help me” says Jessica

Jessica doesn´t like to put herself in a special musical category, as there are influences of many different music styles in her songs. You can hear a mixture of pop, rock and country. The songs have come from her own experiences of life or through meetings with people. The lyrics then have a personal touch in every song.

The most important for Jessica has always been to mediate her music in a way which moves the listener and makes the feeling remain even after the music is silent.

”I am so thankful and happy to have the opportunity to do that I really love. Music is my life.” says Jessica.
